Though many patrons regard this restaurant
as their very own local favorite, Fratelli's kitchen has moved well
beyond its neighborhood roots.
Chefs Salvatore and Sal Cuccullo Jr., a formidable
father and sons cooking team, are taking their Italian menu to new heights
at Fratelli's in New Rochelle.
The family who originally hail from Calabria,
got their start in the business from their parents Mario and Maria Cuccullo
in their pizza shop in the Bronx. Papa Mario and his son Peter still
work the pizza operation, Fratelli Pizza. The more upscale 'Ristorante'
has become a hotbed of culinary creativity. Salvatore and son Sal Jr.
represent the third generation of the family to be involved in the business.
Robust Pasta, Meat and Fish selections include:
Rigatoni with a rich beef, pork and veal ragu; Chicken Scarpariello,
with sweet sausage, potatoes and hot cherry peppers; Penne with Gilled
Chicken and Mushrooms with gorgonzola cream; Dijon Crusted Salmon Served
with Sautéed vegetables; Grilled Rib Eye Steak, with rosemary
potatoes, onions and mushrooms; and a good traditional Baccala Pomodoro,
with potatoes, tomatoes and onions with roasted garlic.
Feel adventurous? Ask the chef for his daily combination platter, chef's
choice.
Your palate will also dance when you read
the daily specialties that spice up the regular menu. They can range
from a wonderful Risotto of the day sprinkled with truffle oil to tender
Osso Buco, and the flavors are extraordinary.
Julie De Piano and the friendly staff are
great at meeting any special needs you may have. Good wine list with
nice selections by the glass.

Serving Lunch Monday through Saturday,
11am-4pm
Dinner is served from 4pm-10pm weekdays, 11pm weekends.
Family style platters are available Outside Catering and delivery service.
